January

Well I have gone back to the blog site to try and manage whats going on the best I can. There will be a lot of changes for us in 2009 and I hope this will be the best way to keep everyone up to date. Sierra will be ONE on the 2nd of February, and Ben will be TWO on the 18th of February. As most of you know, Jim will be going to Afghanistan sometime this spring for one year. So we're giving ourselves plenty of time to prepare for that. We have been going to Family Readiness Group (FRG) meetings and I have signed up to volunteer with whatever I can to keep us busy. So! Here we go again!

  1. I just logged in the check my email and saw this! Yay! Well, not Yay about the afghanistan part. But yay that you are close by and settling in, etc. Why did you decide to start a new blog instead of using the old one?
Anyway, when you feel like it, jump in the car and head 3 1/2 hours north...our door will be open for you! Maybe Jim and Chris will see each other before Chris comes home and Jim leaves.

Although I was watching the weather this morning and they had 60's in Tucson while it was snowing here. Take care tell Jimmy hey!

  5. “Contrary to what cynics say, distance is not for the fearful but for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough.”
